Danone removes the label from ‘Actimel’ bottles to optimise the circularity of its packaging

Danone has taken an important step in its sustainability strategy by improving the packaging of its ‘Actimel’ brand in Spain and Portugal through eco-design and the removal of labels on the range of adult bottles. This improvement will reduce the production of 115,000 kg of plastic per year, thus contributing to making the bottle more recyclable. The project not only boosts the recyclability of Danone’s packaging by promoting the circular economy, but also seeks to achieve the ambitious goal of 100% of its packaging being recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2030.
